Aesthetic Treatments: Lips
A range of options can address thin lips, fine lip wrinkles, and downturned mouth corners, from non-surgical treatments such as injectable fillers, fat transfer, and chemical peels to surgical procedures like a lip lift. Approaches are often combined to refine shape, volume, and balance.
thin lips
Volume deficient lips can be your genetics, but they need not be your destiny. Recommended treatment options include office injection of a filler (such as hyaluronic acid), your own fat taken from another area (fat transfer).
wrinkled lips
Often vertical, like spokes on a wheel, lip wrinkles are common in women. Smoking significantly increases these wrinkles. These respond well to deep chemical peel(s), and may also be smoothed by injection of small quantities of a hyaluronic acid filler.
downturned corners
When the corners of the mouth begin to droop, a permanent frown or skin irritation can develop. These may be improved with injection of a hyaluronic acid filler or autologous fat transfer.
long upper lip
Excess distance from the nose to the upper lip can emanate an aged look. This is well treated with a “lip lift” procedure.
