Labs

• Pet-CT: BUN & Creatinine within 60 days of the scan, ordered by ordering physician. Radiology will order and obtain glucose at the time of the scan. Glc must <200 for the scan to proceed.

IV Hydration:

• Indications:

  • GFR < 30 - IV hydration is indicated.

  • GFR 30-59, oral hydration is encouraged instead.

• Volumes: typically, either 250 mL or 500 mL is given before and after CT (total of either 500ml or 1000ml based on provider discretion)

• CC Neurology may be able to perform infusion: check with infusion nurse regarding logistics/availability
